Opportunities to Lean In and Lead
Changing careers or reorienting after a layoff can illicit fear, excitement, relief, indecision, guilt and perhaps grief. With thought-provoking exercises and readings, I’ll help you work through these emotions while exploring your values, talents, and passions. I’ll help you get in touch with your authentic self and develop a plan for your next career phase.
Plan your career within your organization:
As women, we tend to wait to be recognized for our good work. Often, this doesn’t happen and our careers stall. In our program, we’ll investigate the beliefs and assumptions that hold you back and develop strategies for showing others your gifts and contributions to the organization.
Align your work and personal self:
Women juggle more roles (mother, daughter, wife, employee, leader, friend, entrepreneur, volunteer) than ever. This overload of activities and responsibilities causes immense stress. In our program, we’ll discover what really matters so you can successfully manage and merge your true identity with your achievements and build a path to fulfillment.
Building Your brand:
How do you present yourself? How are you perceived? What are your strengths? What areas would you like to improve? Through exercises and measures, such as the Energy Leadership Assessment, we dive into these questions. Your discoveries will be your brand’s building blocks.
Learn to be a strong, effective communicator:
Women tend to cede power and unconsciously downplay their contributions through language. How often do you or someone you know start a sentence with “I’m sorry, but I think …” We may avoid difficulty, but necessary conversations just to keep the peace. I’ll help you take your power back through better verbal, written and nonverbal communication. I’ll show you how to have a difficult conversation in the workplace and at home.
Has your smartphone taken over your life? Do you fear missing out or missing an email? Although technology has increased communication and productivity, it has also stressed us out and sometimes imperiled our psyches and lives (text while driving, lately?) We’ll work to help you create boundaries to get your life back.
