About Alisia Pulella
Let’s lean in together…
As a businesswoman and coach, I am familiar with the personal and professional struggles women face. I know that it’s hard to find balance and purpose between a job that measures success by hours worked and family pressures to attend every event and be there for every important moment. Often, I’ve found the skills for success — negotiation, managing up, boundary setting, networking, effective communication and creating personal brands — come from hard-won experience, not instinct or book learning.
I’ve dedicated my life and career to helping women master these skills and succeed.
My Role Model
I was lucky to have my mother as a role model. She was a strong woman who was the first in her family to attend a professional school after high school. My mother always strived to be the best at her job as a secretary and as a wife, mother, and daughter. But she struggled to navigate the workplace discrimination that was rampant in the 1960s and ’70s.
My mother told me stories of actions that today would land companies in court or settle for millions. The experiences left her, and other women like her, questioning their self-worth and their professional value.
Her experience taught me how important it is for women to make strong decisions and to design a purpose-filled life. She inspired me to help other women regain control of their situation and start living the life they’ve wanted.
How I Became a Life Coach
While pursuing a degree in Psychology at the University of Michigan, I worked at a women’s crisis center. After college, I worked in a family planning clinic as a counselor. In both jobs, I helped women cope with stressful situations and manage life-changing decisions.
After moving to Las Vegas, I earned a master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix while working full time for a Fortune 500 company that provides work apparel to the hospitality industry. In my 16 years at this position, I saw firsthand how powerful clothes were for creating confidence. When I was invited to become a founding board member of the first Dress for Success Southern Nevada chapter, I could not have been more thrilled to blend my work talents with my desire to empower women in my community.
I knew I wanted to continue helping female leaders develop and change how society views them.
I embarked on the coach certification program at The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, one of the nation’s most rigorous programs. After that, I went on to earn my certification as a Gaia Leadership Project Certified coach. The Gaia Project for Women’s Leadership seeks to empower women leaders to change their personal and work lives to align with their values while teaching women the leadership skills that may not come naturally.
As women leaders, we can change the work culture to be inclusive of all of our gifts and talents while creating exceptional success.
In the past three years, I have coached women who have started businesses, changed careers, received promotions, increased their energy and created personal brands within their companies and communities. Through the Lean-In program, numerous women have been empowered and fulfilled at home and at work. Together we empowered them to define and achieve success on their terms.
I would be honored to join your journey and guide you through creating a life you are thrilled to live. It’s time to Lean Into Your Life …
